Folio: Credit & Ledger helps merchants manage company credit limits, invoices, payments, refunds, and available credit for Shopify B2B buyers.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and delete information when merchants install and use the app.
1. Information We Collect
When a merchant installs or uses the app, we process:
- Shop and app session data required for authentication and secure access (for example: shop domain, app scopes, access tokens, and session metadata).
- B2B company and ledger data needed to deliver app features (for example: company ID, ledger entries, balances, invoice, payment, refund, and due-date records).
- Operational logs needed to monitor reliability, troubleshoot issues, and protect the app against abuse.
2. How We Use Information
- Authenticate merchants and secure app sessions.
- Calculate and display B2B credit and ledger balances.
- Support merchant workflows for invoices, payments, and refunds.
- Maintain, monitor, and improve app performance, reliability, and security.
- Comply with legal obligations and Shopify platform requirements.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell merchant data. We only share data with service providers when needed to operate the app (for example, hosting and infrastructure), or when required by law.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
- We retain data only as long as necessary to provide app functionality, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- When the app is uninstalled, associated Shopify app sessions are deleted from our system.
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
6. Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for ensuring their own customer-facing privacy notices and legal disclosures are accurate and compliant with applicable laws for their business.
7. International Transfers
If data is processed outside a merchant's country, we take reasonable steps to apply appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Updates are posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
